ANOTHER YEAR CLOSER

Another year has come and gone and we're one more year closer to heaven. Oops, I said it. Sadly, many confessing Christians don't want to hear it, yet it is the very thing all generations have anticipated; the blessed hope God has promised from Genesis to Revelation.

It is sad that many denominations and Christians avoid the sure word of prophecy, particularly predictive prophecy. However, many of those have no problem with the hundreds of prophecies fulfilled in the nation of Israel or the first coming of the Messiah; but don't talk about the future. No man can know. Why not? The bible is man's history past, present, and future. To God a million years in the future is as known as a million years in the past.

The prophet Amos writes, “Surely the LORD does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants, the prophets.” The evidence of His Soon Coming is all around us. The prophets have spoken and the picture becomes clearer every day. So why would any Christian want to avoid what God says is yet to come? Fear, ignorance perhaps, but certainly a too tight a grip on this world.

The apostle Paul declares love not the world or the things in it. Life can be wonderful at times, but compared to heaven it's a slum. Read, believe, let go, and let God.
